Friends of  the school

The Friends of Lyall Bay School is a group of parents and caregivers who work together to support the school. They do this by raising money for school projects and building a greater sense of community involvement in the school.

Friends’ projects:

Calendars

Every year the Friends group organises calendars to be produced with the children’s artwork on them. These are very popular as Christmas gifts. This year cards and diaries with artwork were also available. This is done both as a fundraiser and as a service to parents.

 

Money raised

The money raised by the Friends is given to school projects. This year, for example, the Friends group paid for the trophies given to netball players.  With planning for classroom redevelopment taking place, the Friends will no doubt be able to make a major contribution in the future.

 

Upcoming events

We are always interested in hearing ideas for new events, both for fundraising and for supporting the school community. One idea being looked at for next year is a school disco. Please get in touch if you have other ideas for us to consider.
